The Guitar Teacher offers you lessons across the spectrum from casual, conversational learning lessons right through to totally serious, highly detailed, documented instructions. The Guitar Teacher is uniquely qualified to teach across different ages and interest levels. ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS For beginner guitar players, between seven and seventy years old, the Guitar Teacher offers his Learn Easy Guitar method. This method emphasises playing music rather than playing guitar. (Think about what that difference is for a moment) This method works best with really busy people with little available guitar time, who want to play a song everytime they pick up their guitar. Even after a long time between guitar sessions. Until Learn Easy Guitar this was not possible. Learn Easy Guitar also suits younger children. With this method, guitar is highly simplified so that they can learn songs very quickly and feel the thrill of achievement. For time poor adults or eager children, Learn Easy Guitar is powerful, easy and rewarding. Learn Easy Guitar is only available in Auckland at this time from the Guitar Teacher. CHILDREN The Guitar Teacher works with primary and secondary school children. He has vast experience across these ages, not only as a teacher but as a parent and a client of other professional music teachers. Helping young primary children to get started strongly and enthusiastically---and helping them to grow---is extremely rewarding. SECOND TIME BEGINNERS If you have been intending for years to spend some serious time on your guitar 2008 is the year. You know the kinds of ruts you're in. And you know that you can do much more, out of the rut. You may have been promising yourself for years that you must learn 'properly'. Keeping your promise to yourself is as simple as calling the Guitar Teacher. You may be getting tired of denying that you really would like to play that guitar you have had in your wardrobe for years. Coming out of denial is as simple as picking up the phone and booking yourself in with the Guitar Teacher. RETURNING PLAYERS This is you if you have played as a teenager or twenty something, and you are returning a decade or two later to revisit guitar. You can expect a fun and rewarding guitar programme with the Guitar Teacher, based on your interests, aspirations and times. SERIOUS STUDENTS If you are intending to study and the Guitar Institute of Technology, Hollywood, you should study with the Guitar Teacher before going. Taking care of the basics of sightreading, technique, melody, rhythmn and harmony, is something you can do here. And cheaper too. Getting these basics down here will free you to take advantage of the amazing benefits that Hollywood offers (that Auckland can't). Intending Berklee students should also take care of the basics with the Guitar Teacher. Why go there to do what you can do here? Why waste 'there' time on what you can do here? LESSON TIMES The Guitar Teacher teaches on Monday and Tuesday only between 9 am and 9.30 pm. Peak time is from 3.30 - 5.30 for school students and 5.30 to 9.30 for employees. You must get in immediately to secure a peak time spot. Off peak time is between 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. Off-peak can work for shift workers, self-employed, investors, glide-time workers, managers and other people with time flexibility. This time zone can also work for mothers with babies. Off peak times also make it possible for people from the North Shore, West and South Auckland to come to Grey Lynn for guitar lessons. When traffic is light, you can be driving for less than 20 minutes. If you want to study with the Guitar Teacher now, call on 09 378 6666.
